ABOUT BYRON
Byron is the Director of Narlo Builders and has over 20 years’ experience in the building industry. Originally from Wellington, Byron is now based in the Waikato and has worked across a wide range of residential projects, with a strong focus on renovations and quality craftsmanship.
Byron founded Narlo Builders in 2019, but building has been part of his life long before that. He started out working for his family, learning the trade through his father’s building company and gaining a strong foundation in what quality workmanship looks like.
As his experience grew, Byron worked across both commercial and residential construction, taking part in a wide range of projects, from hospital work through to large multi-level builds. While those projects built his skills and confidence, it was residential building that he connected with most. He enjoyed the one on one side of the work, getting to know clients properly, understanding how they live, and delivering a result that genuinely improves their home.
That passion is what led Byron to establish Narlo Builders, with the aim of providing a hands-on, honest, and reliable building service, where clients deal directly with the builder carrying out the work. What sets Narlo Builders apart is Byron’s personal involvement in every project, clear communication, and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes that stand the test of time.
In the early days, Byron built the company up by working through larger building companies and taking on steady work that helped establish Narlo’s reputation. Over time, that groundwork turned into a strong local presence, and in the last year Byron has been focused heavily on renovations, helping homeowners update, improve, and transform their spaces with a clear process and a high standard of finish.
Byron is also a family man, which shapes the way he approaches every project. He understands that a home is personal, and he brings a respectful, practical mindset to each job, clear communication, solid planning, and work that is done properly from the start.

OUR TEAM
Narlo Builders is a tight knit team led by Byron, supported by skilled tradespeople and a growing support network behind the scenes. While the business continues to grow, the focus remains the same, a hands on team that values quality work, clear communication, and respect for every project.
Director / Lead Builder
Byron leads the team and oversees all projects from start to finish. With a strong background across both commercial and residential construction, he is hands on throughout the build process, ensuring every job meets the standards Narlo Builders is known for.
Administration
Donné manages the administration side of the business, keeping projects organised and communication running smoothly. She is often the first point of contact and plays a key role in supporting both clients and the team.
Alongside Byron and Donné is a core team of experienced builders and tradespeople, bringing the total team to six. While not all team members are client-facing, each person plays an important role in delivering consistent, high-quality work.
Narlo Builders is continuing to grow and is always looking to strengthen the team with people who share the same values, pride in their work, and commitment to doing things properly.
